Well, at least I got the sweetcorn planted out... the big veg out will happen next weekend I think.
(and I got a bonus session down the plot as the small person needed distracting - so dug more marestail out and rescued lots of wiggly worms from well-intentioned small fingers)

      • Tomorrow I intend to

        - remove bindweed from along one side of allotment fence (never ending)
-lay some wood chip around raspberries
-cover strawberry mound with membrane, hold down with bricks in prep for planting strawbs or maybe courgette plants
-pot on tomatoes and courgette seedlings
-sow kale, chard and spinach in trays
-move French bean plants outside in a sheltered spot to harden off

        that's the plan atleast

          • I applied nematodes last weekend - I got some very funny looks using my hose in the rain...
Do you find that you have to constantly remind yourself not to "water" in usual mode, but to put them in all the places that slugs might congregate?

Yes, I have to remember things like behind the hotbin where I would never normally water. The vine weevil nematodes go mainly into pots, especially the ones with strawberries and heuchera in, as vine weevils love the fibrous roots on these plants.

                • Monday/Tuesday

Start feeding some of the plants. - Yes. I have a liquid feed that I bought last year. Probably not the best, but hopefully better than nothing.
Pot on the herbs. - Yes. Although I first managed to scorch the parsley nearly to death in the new greenhouse. Ahem, learning curve.
Pull some weeds. - No. I seem to have pulled a muscle behind my shoulder blade, which has made it inconvenient to bend down and tug at weeds.

It hasn't stopped me from potting up my newly acquired fruit trees though. And, sweet allotment miracle, we found a good, heavy, heat-treated pallet on the walk over to the allotment tonight. I carried with my other arm

                  Wednesday/Thursday

Busy work days ahead, but we're away at the end of May, so I must get things in order before we go.

                  Plant out flowers at home/allotment.
Arrange capillary matting setup in the greenhouse.
Pull some weeds when the shoulder says ok.

                        • Wednesday/Thursday

Plant out flowers at home/allotment. - Some. I'm narrowing down the plants that will stay in the greenhouse.
Arrange capillary matting setup in the greenhouse. - Some. I need to finish my greenhouse organization so I can figure out how much I need.
Pull some weeds when the shoulder says ok. - A bit of weeding in the beds. I'm starting to get that overwhelmed feeling about the weeds/out of control perennials planted by the previous tenant. The beds are mostly clear but the surrounding areas are wild.

I also potted on some tomatoes and my courgette. Sowed a few more seeds.

                          Friday

Continue planting out anything that doesn't need to stay in the greenhouse.
Bring home some larger pots from the mound at the allotment.
Set up another capillary matting area.
Start hacking down everything on the periphery. The loosestrife looks nice but is spreading everywhere.
