        • Tidy up the garden as it has had no attention for the last 4 weeks.
Cut down some of the dead foliage on the dahlias, although the ones in the front garden are still flowering.
Sow Sweet peas in the greenhouse even though it's a little late.
Bring in fuschias and geraniums under cover.
          Weed and weed as usual.
Lots of other little bits and bobs to attend to if the weather is favourable.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

          • Well I got half of the tunnel done, proved harder work than I thought. Dug out to a depth of about 18 inches.

I need to clear the other side of the tunnel next week so I can do the other half as it still contains a load of chilli plants that are struggling to ripen their fruit.

            Will resume next weekend.

Mrs G has started clearing the asparagus ferns, and I used the old soil from the polytunnel to build up the asparagus ridges again.

Thinking about trying to get some white asparagus next year. I've got an old water tank I put over one of the rhubarb plants each year to force it, might try the same with the asparagus.
            Are y'oroight booy?

                    • Staying at home for various people to come and do bits of house maintenance that need qualifications.
I will be having a cookathon as the boiler needs to be cold for its service, but I want to stay warm!

                          • Got all my Sweet peas sowed today.
I realise it's late in the season but had to give them a try.
In the greenhouse covered with a sheet of glass to help them germinate.
Raked up all the leaves and got rid of all the rubbish since I was absent for a few weeks.
Sun is shining so may go out again after lunch and do some weeding.

                              • water salad in greenhouse, then learning music this morning, rehearsal this afternoon and concert this evening.
Hoping to get an hour on the allotment tomorrow to finish a couple of paths, in between learning more music and advent carol service tomorrow afternoon.
                                Advent is very definitely here!
