Take begonias and cucumber to greenhouse to make space at home - done
Plant beetroot and tomatoes - done + cucumber
Remove bolted parsnips - done some

At allotment
Take beetroot and leeks to growhouse - done + peas
Pull/dig horsetail - done some
Trim hawthorn - done
Harvest lettuce, spinach, rhubarb and possibly baby beetroot - done spinach

At home
Sow calabrese, brokali, romanesco, cucumbers, french beans - done except beans
Weeding and deadheading - done some
Trim drive side lawn edge - no
Check stored onions and freeze any that are starting to sprout - done
Use up remaining stored potatoes (Sarpo Axona, still just about edible!) - done some
Harvest remaining overwintered carrots - no

Put away potato covers (doing more damage than they are preventing)
Check all pots and water if necessary

List was to pot on what needed it and as I was up at dawn, that list is now done for the moment. Overnight temperatures are improving, but tender stuff still in the conservatory, just now in bigger pots!!
ps more carrots sown outside and all tatties now growing.....whatever they all are.

Time to sow all sorts beans, also swede and autumn calabrese. Bit more room in the greenhouse now, after the big sort out yesterday.

I was going to finish planting some young herb plants in pots, top up the potato tubs, & wash some more pots, but unfortunately, it just hasn't stopped raining. I think it's forecast to be a little drier tomorrow (we will believe that, when we see it), so it looks like I am going to have to do those jobs tomorrow

Sod it. Tomorrow is allotment day if the weathers ok. Climbing frames for peas and French Beans to erect and sow beans and peas. Also sow mangetout peas and dwarf French beans.

If I have time I will plant out my swedes and possibly beetroot seedlings.

If I have lots of time I may even plant out a few brassicas.

Unless something else crops up of course. I need to take out some pointing at home with a disc grinder but every day this week my neighbour has had washing out and the wind was blowing that way.

Urgh - I had that done a few years ago and the mess was horrendous. Cover up anything that you don't want covered in a layer of very fine dust - things like leafy veg are almost impossible to wash afterwards!
