This weekend
- trying to recycle my bathwater
- watering (everywhere)
- planting some spurple prouting and trying to work out how to keep it cool
- weeding my carrot/onion bed which seems to be overrun with broad-leaved weeds
- possibly planting some more carrots
- cutting back my tomatoes again (they seem to be particularly unruly this year...)
- repairing my shed
- strimming (how do the weeds manage to grow so high when there's no water?)
- did I mention watering?

the weekend after is the big one - wife and child away so I'm going to put some more beds and woodchip paths in to try to control more of the plot

Furtle under a potato plant and see what I find- lots of new potatoes!

Plant out summer cabbages if I can find/make space-no, too hot to dig up any more spuds to make room!

Wednesday

Order compost etc. - Done.
Water. - Done. Plus for plot neighbors who are on holiday.
Weed. - Done some. Even hacked out some stuff that remains to be cleared.
Take weed bucket to plot. - No. Needs to be cleaned and it turns out I'm too lazy for that.
Snip some flowers for a vase. - No. Only a couple of cosmos going and not looking sprightly enough for a vase.

Harvested one strawberry, a handful of Red Duke of York potatoes and marrows and runners from the neighbors. Set up strawberry runners in pots. Received offer of autumn currant cuttings from another plotholder. Tried breaking up dirt clods but they're not really interested.

Probably not much else as there's painting to be done at home.
