Tomorrow I'm going to my old allotment site to show my face at the pumpkin competition. I aint got a pumpkin but it will be nice to see a few of the plotholders.

While I am there I will harvest my shallots, leeks,and my tatties,dig up blackcurrants,redcurrants ,whirtecurrants and gooseberries plus tayberry if I can find it under the weeds. All to be planted at my new plot. Garden tools including my logging axe will also need to be picked up. I want to utilise two collapsible tables in my new greenhouse but I won't have space in car on this journey.

Deadheading seedheads to put to one side.
Then attacking the borders with secateurs, rake and loppers.
Maybe some shredding....
No doubt there will be a huuuge pile of leaves needing collecting at some point too

tomorrow harvest last bed of spuds, harvest all the remaining beetroots, cover and put said beds to sleep for winter. If possible paint some timbers that I'm using for beds.

Things I intend to do that won't necessarily get done are:-


Find a spot and plant my Jerusalem Artichokes.

Plant a single potted raspberry I bought cheaply. Go back to Morrisons and see what has been yellow stickered and see if I can get any more for pennies.


Check my seed box and see what I need for next year. Check at B&Q to see if the seeds at half price are worth buying.


Dig up some raspberries already on the plot and replant them with my single raspberry plant in new position.


Dig up some mint from the plot and bring it home for my herb garden.


Try and make a base for my IBC container and shift it if possible.


Harvest some Yacon.


Check my onion sets haven't been pulled out by the birds and if so replace them.


Procure a bag of 6X farmyard manure.
