Good week forecast for Nothumberland this week combined with good shifts at work (4 days off and Wednesday is 5pm - 10pm) = catch up with jobs time for me!
Today I potted up a load of bulbs that should have been done in the autumn *whoops* and laid out my potatoes to chit in the greenhouse. Also had a good tidy of pots full of dead plants (HHA flowers from the summer) - chucked twigs and old compost onto compost heap and put the empty pots into pile for cleaning (next weeks' job).
Tuesday's jobs include.....
Potting up onion & shallot sets in greenhouse.
Digging up perennials from bottom beds and polytunnel beds and move to flower bed area at gate.
IF I still have any daylight/energy left I'll make a start on emptying the raised beds in the ex-polytunnel and spread the soil onto the bottom area which is were my veg beds will be going.
Emptying these two beds (30ft long, 4ft wide and 3ft high!) will probably take me most of the week but it needs done before Neil can dismantle it and build a new shed and chicken run there.
