I managed to land a new job on Friday that near enough doubles my salary, so whilst I'm waiting for the money to roll in, I will be looking around for things I've been wanting to buy for a long time, but not had the fund to purchase. Woop woop!
I'm starting with a hori hori - one for me and one as a Christmas present

Not that it's any of my business, but as someone who's made lots of mistakes in the past, It's easy to quickly spend up to your new income (whatever it is). So setting up a new savings DD each payday will get you feeling wealthy without suffering in 18 months time from spending the lot. Of course you may not have my (lack of) personality that spends in industrial quantities.
Good luck.

Although I might save up enough to buy a plot of land off my mum back in Sweden if she'll let me :P
