Incredible F1 standing around head height and no product! Is this normal?!

Sorry can't help, but that is strange not to have tassels forming by the time they are that tall, any sign of them coming at the top?
I always think there will be no silks/cobs growing but they always seem to appear at the last minute but no tassels?

Yes, tassels at top drop pollen on the silks at the top of the cobs (or ears in the USA)

Mine are only about 3' tall and have tassels forming.
