My aloe is looking a bit sad

Hi all, was wondering if any of you had any ideas on what to do with my aloe plant.
My grandad gave me a plant before he died so on the 15th anniversary of his death I took the babies off and repotted for all the family members to mark the occasion. All babies are doing remarkably well but now the adult has started to go brown. With all the lovely weather we've been having I put him outside and he seems to be returning back to normal... Will he be ok out there all summer and bring him back in for winter?? Obviously he has a special meaning to me so want to do what I can to keep him going, even though I know 15+yrs is a long time for a house plant to live

Make sure it has excellent drainage, crocks at the bottom of the pot and grit mixed in with the soil, this will ensure it won't rot. Only water when completely dry they don't like wet conditions. If it's getting better it could have been rotting or sun scorch. Depends on how it actually looks. They like heat but not too much direct sun depending on the species of aloe. I have a lot of succulents socthey are quite difficult to kill as long as you don't overwater. And yeah I would bring it indoors at winter just imagine where they would originally be in the world, and recreate the conditions. hot and humid basically.
