My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)
Good old eBay. I did wonder if they would fatten up a bit, I've had a google search before and I see other plants with reapers starting out the same shape. Will find out I suppose.
I think based on the advice you've already received here, you can be fairly confident it's not a Reaper. I think Mitzi made that observation first on the main chilli thread, so all credit to her
But there are many stories of people like yourself destined to be disappointed after buying from less reliable sources. Enjoy whatever it is you're actually growing and maybe post pictures of the plant with ripe pods and we might be able to identify it
For the last two seasons I have had my Habaneros bitten, lots of them I lost half the crop, and finally realised they were bitten by mice revealed by their droppings.
They seem to bite one then move on to another.
Strangely they do not bite the sweet peppers. rats have been visiting the tunnel as well but I don't know if they are partial to chilies. I will soon be putting down bait for the devils.
I will only buy chill seed from chilli specialists these days..others just seem to have old seed or problems. Yes, you can enjoy what you've grown but It's a long investment to grow a cross or a mystery plant.

Your peppers are definitely not Reapers.
