  • Cat Poo

Hello there , My cat poos near my oregano , is this dangeorus to use?

Generally Nope...unless you have a problem with your immune system or perhaps pregnant?
Just make sure you give it a good rinsing as you should with all produce from the garden.

You need to remember that hedgehogs, birds, mice, rats, bats, etc etc will be pooing all over your garden, and they too carry very minor risk too.

Non organic pesticides possibly carry more long term risks?

You need to do your own research on line with up to date facts and make your own decisions.

    *mod note....*
Please keep very on subject...Any 'cat bashing' comments will cause the thread to be locked.

Tarragon, the comment wasn't directed at you. In the past there have been some totally unsavoury suggestions which I'm sure, as a cat owner, you would not even contemplate.

You said near so making sure it's washed thoroughly. Adding it to food as you cook will be fine afterwards. I have fox poo, squirrel poo, cat poo, pigeon poo and parrot poo not mention countless other species whose natural habitat encompasses the garden. Plus horse poo and chicken poo I bring in.

Hi Tarragon, if you'd rather your cat used a different area as a toilet a liberal sprinkling of curry powder around your oregano should deter it.

Check out the internet on the issues with cat poo. You might change your mind about having it vaguely anywhere near anything you want to eat!
