Chilli chorizo chillies

On the back of the card it says produces black /red chillies.... and something about they turn from black to red so I left them all on there..... I have about 14 black chillies and 3 are quite big and have been that colour for 4 weeks... I'm worried they are stunting the growth of the other chillies so I have picked the largest 3. Should they turn red? I was waiting for this.

Black chillis and peppers do usually ripen to red eventually, but it can be quite slow. You can use them while they're still black.
