Not able to water toms

    Ok, have spoken to daughter, and I'm going to try going along tomorrow, armed with my watering can, up to first floor balcony, and pour water from height onto the toms!

    Neighbours will probably think I've lost the plot!

    Forgot to say, these were tom plants I grew! And gave to her, so they can't die!

        Don't worry Dotty you'll look no dafter than me water potato barrels in the rain............Do wish I was there with a camera though, Utube classic...............

                  Ok! Well, this will make you laugh!

                  I went armed with my watering can, filled with water from downstairs kitchen, up to first floor balcony, and poured water over as near as could to plants, and then poured some through the tiny gaps in decking to plants below!

                  Might just be enough to save them!

                    would a hose pipe attached to a long stick be able to be directed down into the containers ? you could fit a funnel in the top end and get the water in that way.

                        Obviously don't know if you had the same, as I'm further East, but here there was rain overnight and a couple of showers this morning
