late carrots

I had a spare 50cm pot begging to be used, decided to sow some more carrots, nantes early 2.

am I being overly optimistic? or have I left it too late?

at worst the pot can go into an unheated polytunnel.

You could germinate them in the polytunnel it might be quicker? It is a bit late but if you've got a spare pot why not try,I tried a late sowing last year,they stopped growing in the winter & I thought I'll leave them to grow on in the spring but then they flowered & they were tiny thin carrots that I threw away but it was worth it to see what not to do! I haven't tried your variety,yours say fast to mature so you might get little baby size carrots,good luck I hope you get some carrots
