Broccoli "Marathon"

We planted out 10 Broccoli "Marathon" plants on 6 May. Whilst they look plenty healthy, with lots of leaves, there doesn't seem to be much sign of the central "spear" arriving. Do they normally take this long, or am I missing something? All advice gratefully received.

Sown between Feb and May - harvest will be between July and November- according to the packet

So I'd say give them a couple more months.

Mine took a long time to produce spears when I grew some,you start feeling like something's gone wrong but it hasn't

Where are you in the world, if you're in the deep south, it should be soon, if you live up here it could be Christmas time.

Where are you in the world, if you're in the deep south, it should be soon, if you live up here it could be Christmas time.

We are in Hampshire, and most advice seems to be they could be another couple of months yet.
