Planning a Perennial front garden

I don't worry too much about crop rotation as I don't usually grow a bed full of one veg I'm a jumble them up sort of gardener
Perennial kales, chard and onions stay where they're planted until they're exhausted.
This is the 3rd year chard and asparagus kale bed in March.

Hmmmmmmm lots to think about Chard in different colours does look lovely.... My Sorrell went mad this year Bario1 huge flower spike and bush up of leave is that similar to how kale flowers?

Kind of, yes. My sorrel went mad too, I decided to tear it all out in the end (but it's back!). Kale tends to go more bushy, and large plants can achieve tree-like proportions!

How about edible flowers and comfrey? Are they goers in a perennial garden?

I'm intrigued...
