Onion "Radar" and "Electric"

Good Morning, I have planted onion Radar and Electric sets, for over wintering. This is the first time I have tried these and seek a quick bit of advice. Do they lay fully dormant over winter and start to sprout in Spring, or start to sprout and grow over the winter time, being frost hardy? Some of mine I planted a few weeks ago already have green shoots growing up. Many thanks folks.

They sprout in the autumn and are winter hardy giving them a head start in the spring.
