  • Am I supposed to have sown them?

Mine haven't germinated either, SP, probably because they're still in a packet somewhere.

    • I just assumed you would as you're sowing something every 30 seconds .

      • No! Not started sowing mine either, the Tomatoes will be next!

And to be fair them being a very long season crop and what I call a cold starter and in need of no bottom heat I'll not be rushing!

But will be starting them soon!

How did I ever get "Rumbled" into this!

            • All 14 varieties are now sown .

Because I'm growing a couple of varieties this year. I'm putting harvesting times on the label. I'm have trouble finding harvesting times for Long Island improved. Any ideas?

                • Hmmm, Sp posting on another Sp's post. I'll have to try to differentiate .

We don't eat a lot of sprouts and whatever variety I grow needs to mature for Christmas lunch. A packet of seed usually lasts a few years .

                  • ^Yes, even I'm taken aback to see myself referred to as SP. Most people just call me Snoop for short (which I am, as well). I'd be honoured if you'd do the same.

                          • I did have my seeds on the kitchen counter last night having a noisy through, but that's as far as I've got!

I'll be potting on a lot of chillies & sowing my toms this weekend, then I'll put my serious brassica head on!

                            • I had great results last year with a sprout called Nautic, an F1. Plenty for xmas, and still cropping in Feb.

                              • How's everyone's sprouts doing?

                                This lot have all germinated
                                Montgomery.
                                Brest f1.
                                early half tall
                                Seven hills (only 1 germinated)
                                Brigitte f1
                                Evesham special
                                Fillbasket
                                Darkmar 21
Revenge f1 ( slow to germinate, but getting there )
                                Cascade f1
                                Red ball
                                Bedford- winter harvest

                                These haven't germinated
                                Trafalgar f1
                                Long Island emproved

So that's still 12 varieties to grow this year and 3 of each plant ( if possible)
