I've got seeds for next year. It's related to quinoa, fat hen, amaranths and love lies bleeding but used for the leaves.

It's cooked and used like spinach - popular in Caribbean cookery.

................and it doesn't like the North East weather so maybe try a bit in the greenhouse.

It didn't do well round here a couple of years ago

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

                OK thanks.
I will give it a miss as it sounds like it doesn't like our climate.
Also it looks a bit like a poncey flower to me!

Haven't been able to find the interview again but Don Rowe on Hungerhill allotments (St Anns, Nottingham) grows loads of it in his greenhouse.

My old allotment site in Bristol was covered in it. One guy grew pretty much nothing else.

Mine did terribly, but I planted it out too early and we got a late frost.
