Sow them all, Thelma, some of each, and see what works best for you.

Tomatoes sown on 15/1 have all germinated apart from Yellow Pygmy (old seeds) but I'm still hopeful.

Just sown 6 Beth/Beit Apha Cucumbers and 4 Zucchini (dregs of a packet) in mini-pots in the propagator,.
The pots were filled with compost on 15/1 and put in prop to warm up before sowing.
PS - this is another of my experiments - and sowing these now is not recommended or to be tried if you get upset by failure.

I’ve just bought an electric propogator on Amazon. Should be here in a couple of days. I need a bit of advice as I’m new to veg gardening.
For plants that will be planted outside, if I sow next week roughly how long will it be before I need to plant them out? I know it varies from plant to plant, but a rough guesstimate would be very helpful. The reason I ask is I am having my wheelchair raised bed made for me next month and I don’t want to be in the position of having plants ready to go outside and nowhere to put them

Check your location for your last Frost Date and aim to be ready to plant out after that.

Most of my seedlings will grow on in a greenhouse, they won't be planted outside.

Sowed some chilli seeds on Monday and the first one germinated today.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Unless you have a greenhouse or growlights, Wheelie, it's a bit early to be sowing seeds. All I've sown is leeks, as they can tolerate the cold even when small.

Grtting itchy fingers now seeing you all sow seeds.

But i'll wait until the start of next month until i start. Chilli seed first. Then see what happens throughout the month.

I have baby cukes and courgies (sown 20/1). Only 5 days and they're an inch or two high already.

I've sown spinach seeds and they're germinating quite nicely.

Only thing is, they're outside... In quite a sheltered spot but will they be too cold?

What are my chances and should I hold off till it gets a bit warmer?

I've also got some of my overwintering broad beans showing good steady growth with teh first few leaves appearing

I’m afraid the itch got to me. I succumbed and sowed some seeds.
Four varieties of chilli peppers, a sweet pepper, courgette, cauliflower and two varieties of sweet peas.
Sometimes you just have to scratch that itch and get dirt under your finger nails.

Gunna sow a couple of chilli seeds this weekend. So need to get my propagator out on friday night and get a bit compost out my bag in the grow house and warm it up overnight ready for the sowing on saturday morning.

In an attempt to ressurect my mojo I'm warming up some compost to see some chillies

Yeah I succumbed too. Far too early as I don't have much indoor space, but sown tomatillos, some black tomatoes 'di Crimea' that a neighbour brought me back from holiday, seeds saved from a weird looking (but tasty) chili I bought in local oriental food store, and gardeners delight.
