  • I have sown the following into pots which are now sitting in my airing cupboard with a glass or plastic covering. All the seeds are starting to get a bit old so have no idea how they'll do:-

    basil
    margoram
    parsley
    sweet dumpling squash
    telepathy cucumber
    astia courgette
    celeriac
    stevia

Also 4 pots of self-saved hurst greenshaft peas which I soaked overnight. They are now sitting in the greenhouse

          • My beetroot, broccoli and spring onions have germinated.
All out in the unheated greenhouse.

                • I read a lot about peas seeds being a problem with germination, some pointing the finger of blame at mice, so the Petit Pois that came with this months mag are now residing in a hanging basket in the greenhouse. They will go outside later, but for now the whole idea is sort of appealing, sure they can prosper hanging down just as well as going up the way, we will see.
