    • In the last week or two:

      Indoors:
Summer savoury - just started showing
Marigold - three strong looking seedlings
      Calendula - nothing yet
Basil - lots of seedlings in propagator tray. Due for pricking out soon.
Busy lizzies - also germinating well in heated propagator (lid off)
Cosmos - potted first leggy batch on, buried up to seed leaves. Seem ok but sowed a few more just in case.

      Under cover in plastic growhouse:
Ishikura bunching onions - no signs yet
Perpetual spinach - just coming through
      Swiss chard - nothing yet
Leeks in planter as seed bed - nothing yet
Lettuce and rocket - only sowed a few days ago

      Direct in raised beds:
      Parsnips - didn’t chit, should I have?
Carrots - early Nantes and a chantenay
Radish - just to see how quickly they’d grow. Took about a week but over half gave come up in the last few days.

Also potato sprouts just showing. I’ve got a few seed potatoes left to sow.

            • Just reading this thread and noticed one or two people on about sowing lettuce. I forgot all about mine so will go out now and do it. I have some pots ready to sow with something. So will do one now and one next month.

Get them in the ground ASAP CP, I find they hate being in small pots, probably because they have a long tap root.

                        • Yesterday I sowed a big tub of purple haze carrots & threw some seeds amongst my meteor peas in the ground,I’ll sow a few parsnip seeds direct there today maybe if I remember. Planted two big tubs of main crop rooster & pink fir apple & two more potato bags of first early Lady C. I don’t think my dahlias are coming back this year I’ll have to find some seeds...

Thanks, I'll probably give them a few weeks to develop a couple of non-seed leaves and then get them in. I'll thin them soon as each seed cluster has successfully germinated 3-4 plants.
