Broad beans. How disappointing. Must have harvested more than half of the beans on my 16 plants which were long, fat and drooping down only to find many of them only contained tiny unformed beans. I'm not sure I'll bother growing them again next year - ok they aren't much effort but they attract ants and black fly, take up 4 of my raised bed squares, all for this:
I also pulled up all of my radishes but you can't really call it a harvest, most had barely swelled, not swelled at all or had holes eaten through it. I think maybe I sowed too early and they stayed in the ground too long. I'm going to try another sowing.
Strawberries! A big glossy bowlfull. Such a vastly different crop to the last few years of trying to grow them in containers. Also quite different from last week's sadly pecked specimens, the netting was necessary.
