Courgettes and a couple of small marrows...
Also a few mangetout, half a pound of runner beans and french beans, some beetroot, and another 2lb8 of blackberries.
Starting to run out of space in the freezer already, and it’s only the beginning of August!

Well today I harvested the second short row of my harmony potatoes which is classed as an early maincrop. Most of the foliage had died down and I find slugs do like them. They are supposed to make good baking potatoes which they did last year. This year there are a lot less I can use as bakers but, digging up now, there is less slug damage, though still some.
The length of row was 13.5' and had 11 potatoes in yielding from .9 to 1.5kg each. Total weight 13.5kg Hessayson's book suggests I should get about 12.3kg from this row so not bad seeing as it is only mid August. I still have 3 to 4 rows of mainly Carolus (a good blight resistant spud) which are growing well with a few alouette. I couldn't find a supplier of alouette this year so planted a few I had left over from last year.
