Got curious and pulled up some salsify. It's a bit early, but I'm not sure that the roots are going to get all that much bigger given the complete lack of any thinning. Once I'd washed and peeled it, there wasn't all that much left. I tried it lightly fried, and it was pretty tasty. However, I suspect I'm only going to get a couple of portions from my container!

Adding courgettes to my todays harvest last nights frost didn't do them any good.

Nothing - flew to Australia instead! No more gardening for a month. It's going to be difficult but somebody's got to do it.

Preserved 2 so now got the last two to eat.

Picked a large bowl of spinach...
Also picked up 5 varieties of apple windfalls.
Think it's time to start thinking about picking and wrapping them for storage. Must be the recent frosts making them fall?
