Popped down the plot - watered, weeded and sowed some seed including two different varieties of dandelions. Two other packets of dandelion seeds to find space for.

Planted some dahila tubers that arrived yesterday, were on sale. Still looking great but soaked them for 24 hours as the ground is so dry.
Weeded until the trug was full, mostly self seeded wild foxgloves, hairy bittercress and a reed type grass.
Sowed some radishes in pot, trying out copper tape.
And can't believe I am saying this but yipee we have had a little rain tonight.Elsie

Two sessions on the plot today, one with the boys, one without.
Mowed the access track for free grass and mulched the sweetcorn with the clippings. Sat and chopped comfrey watching the boys play with slime. Nice.
On the dusk shift, took the old topless cold frame off one if the two original raised beds and weeded it thoroughly of an overgrown mess of buttercups, nettles etc. Time consuming but an excellent job. Topped up with mpc and replaced cold frame.
Now need to decide what to grow in it! Access is awkward, so sowing rows isn't the best idea. Must think.
Removed the net from the second original raised bed and weeded. Pulled out bolted spinach and resowed with rocket. Wielded the hoe and tied up some sunflowers.Last edited by 1Bee; 03-06-2018, 08:34 AM.

Put some Streamline runners saved seeds and climbing beans French Neckar Queen in a tub. Also found some nice rockery plants growing in my gutter so cleaned that and planted them in the rockery. They are some kind of succulent, maybe a sedum variety.

Got 4 bags of salad, some rhubarb and radish taken to the shop.
Sown seeds
Planted out purple broccoli, spinach samish, rainbow chard, Savoy cabbage and some turnip snowball in a fish box.
Filled another fish box with the last of my well rotted manure and home made compost. Then planted it up with my version of 3 sisters. Squash uchiki kuri, sweet corn mirai 003, pea Oregon sugar pod and runner beans.
Partly filled another fish box (will finish tomorrow).

Sunday - Cleared out growhouse, took out the shelves, and planted up and installed four tomatoes and two cucumbers (phoned round the GCs and found some!). Planted up two tomatoes for a friend, donated two to the plot sharing bench and regretfully composted one. Feel like a murderer...
Later that day, removed one tomato to make space for the chilli I'd forgotten to make space for...
Today. Set up supports for broad beans, sundry weeding. Did a rain dance.
