Pricked out a tray of parsley seedlings into two pots, probably about 8 in each pot. They can grow on until they're stronger, then I'll plant the pots in the polytunnel border.

Compost fairy left 3 builders bags of hedge prunings plus 6 black bin bags of grass cuttings so I spent a bit of time shredding the prunings.
Down at the plot I had to clear an area for a new compost bin then build the bin out of a couple of arches of corrugated iron sheets and a pallet so I could empty the prunings and grass clippings.
Weeded a bit (the grass clipping mulch helps keep the weeds down on the beds. It's the paths I have to worry about the most)
Spuds are up, Tiger nuts are up, all the oca are up (including one tuber in the broad bean bed which survived over winter), Sweet Dumplings are up, another squash is also up, pumpkins are up, french beans are up (must find the twine this week), main crop onions, shallots and potato onions doing well, not sure about the garlic - leaves starting to die off too early for my liking.
Kiwi Fruit is starting to reach further into the sky - should be ready to tie off the laterals to the upper wire soon (have to let them get longer so that they don't wrap themselves around it as I want them to drape. It looks as if one of the flowers is about to open - I'm sooo excited it's like I have ants in my pants.
Found an ants nest. I sat on it by mistake.
Red currants are starting to get a flush of colour, gooseberries are turning the branches into arches, need to tie them up, black currants are so laden their branches are horizontal, Lots of tiny little apples and cherries in the square foot orchard.
The blackberry arch is covered with fruit forming flowers
Ran out of space in the comfrey bucket - getting more buckets more more black elixir.
Watered the plot and the 7 compost bins. Gave the onions a good comfrey feed.

Despite being late for work, nipped into the plot to check on watering - another hot sunny day yesterday! Everything in small pots was bone dry, I've got to get all this stuff in the ground/final pots! In desperation I planted out a tray of celery amongst my marigolds in the wildflower bed... not really expecting them to grow anyway. I need a couple of hours on the plot to get it straight, all i ever seem to get is a panicky 10 minutes here and there.He-Pep!

Planted out courgettes, labels went astray before germinating, so could have more than one type or all same. Once I know some will get rehomed.
Planted out borlotti and loads of salad leaves - mixes, turnip, beetroot, and a few lettuces.
Planted out four climbers bought cheaply earlier on but gave them some TLC before subjecting to the garden.Elsie

Cut down and chopped up the monster psb and kale plants, the bees have had their fill. Thinned a window box of pak choi and transplanted the thinnings to make two new rows in a raised bed.
Watered everything!
Decided I need a strimmer.He-Pep!

Spent an hour with a new plotholder who has very forthright opinions vis a vis society, allotments, rules, procedures, conformity etc.
Was somewhat intense at times for a balmy Saturday on the plot. One would have thought that with my self-proclaimed anarcho-syndicalist tendencies I would have found what he had to say very encouraging.
Have invited them to stand for election to the committee
