  • Mine have stopped growing up top since I potted them on. It's the cucumbers that are growing like mad.
Mine are called Donkey, Snake and Elephant. I have high hopes for them all.

I'm sorry to hear about the possibility of redundancy Natalie

    • And yes, the trombas do fill out and grow longer, the longer you leave them on the plant. The twisting and formation of odd shapes can be encouraged lol

Natalie, it is advisable not to give her any encouragement, she can come up with some weird and wonderful challenges all on her own
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Member of the Nutters Club but I think I am just there to make up the numbers

                  • Since I had about six plants from seed, I tested a few sites to see which would work the best.

One went to the mother in law, not seen her since so not sure how well it's doing.

Second went into a rather sheltered raised bed, favoured by the chickens who escape. This one hasn't grown very much but it's hanging in there.

Three is in a 15ltr flower bucket and that isn't much fussed with living.

Four and five might be in the old raised beds which I've not check on in a few days.

Now six. Six was a test of year old and still fairly fresh horse manure on the bottom of a raised bed with a covering of half rotten chicken manure and then the rest filled with some mpc. It's by far the best plant, in fact it's at least twice as good as second place!

Is there a recommended minimum size of pot that I'll need to see them through to maturity?"
