    • Calm down, jack, and stop bouncing around - you're shaking my screen.

The good news is - yours will have germinated before Snoop's.

      • Hopefully, Snoop lives in the tropics

( even though it gets hot/cold/rainy/snowy/haily/and foggy cos its a big place )

          • OK, if I can persuade Mr Snoop to sort me out some kind of trellis (such things being within his purview), I might (just might, mind) sow them tomorrow... Thinking of trying direct rather than in modules.

Out of interest, has anyone tried them trailing along the ground?

The problem with rounded personalities is they don't tesselate.

                        • I'm not promising anything today. But tomorrow definitely. Just have to persuade Mr Snoop that my idea of a pergola made from rebar and metal fencing isn't too dangerous (always careful about eyes, especially visitors tall and small)... and that he would be just the right person to make it for me. I'll grow one over this pergola (if it comes off) and another along the ground.

                          • What metal fencing will he be using?

We started off with lovely neat weldmesh but are now using stock fencing cos it's cheaper.

Mr Sylvan was fixing some to the posts yesterday and it was so windy the bit I was holding in place kept blowing back at me and trying to force me off the ladder!

                            • If I'm lucky and they all survive I'll have far too many for the available beds.
Would the extras be happy in 50 litre pots?

I hope so. The one I'm growing in the tunnel is in a 50 (ish) Lt pot ( fish box ).
