Out of interest, has anyone tried them trailing along the ground?
Grown on the ground they don't seem to get the 'interesting' shape they're known for - that's all I'm gonna say about it LOL

I'm not promising anything today. But tomorrow definitely. Just have to persuade Mr Snoop that my idea of a pergola made from rebar and metal fencing isn't too dangerous (always careful about eyes, especially visitors tall and small)... and that he would be just the right person to make it for me. I'll grow one over this pergola (if it comes off) and another along the ground.

What metal fencing will he be using?
We started off with lovely neat weldmesh but are now using stock fencing cos it's cheaper.
Mr Sylvan was fixing some to the posts yesterday and it was so windy the bit I was holding in place kept blowing back at me and trying to force me off the ladder! The problem with rounded personalities is they don't tesselate.
