  • Yes, trombo is great in soups - I tend to grate it for soups, but chunks will work too. I've never used normal bell pepper seeds in cooking. I have no idea if they'd make it spicier! But then, I use siracha sauce in everything which adds the garlic and chili for me

    • The ends tend to get fatter as they get older/riper and the seed cavity enlarges and fills. You can sometimes, even see a difference between squash on the same plant.

Ones hanging straight seem to have less of a 'bulge' I've noticed

Looking at everyone elses pics, mine arent so green, more a yellowy green, is that because of the variety or because their not quite ready ?

            • Mine are Tromba d'Albenga as well.
Eat them as courgettes when they are pale, when they are ripe/ready to store they are the colour of a butternut squash

Do you think it's the seal of approval?

The problem with rounded personalities is they don't tesselate.

                          • Just had a look to see what variety of trombo I am growing and I see its the same as jackarmy, yet mine look different, just shows not everyone's the same
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

                              • Been away for the weekend - first place I went on return home to see my trombas - I met them on the path - so big now I don’t think they like being on the plot - I think I may have to let them into the house and be measured - I really don’t want to because it means they will have to be eaten.
