Yes, trombo is great in soups - I tend to grate it for soups, but chunks will work too. I've never used normal bell pepper seeds in cooking. I have no idea if they'd make it spicier! But then, I use siracha sauce in everything which adds the garlic and chili for me

Mine are Tromba d'Albenga as well.

my first real try at squashes and the like and ive just discovered baked veg, tagene style, blinkin loverly .
My Mad Max pumpkins are insanely big as well and my butternuts are also flying, recipes and storing advice badly needed .

Just had a look to see what variety of trombo I am growing and I see its the same as jackarmy, yet mine look different, just shows not everyone's the sameit may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Been away for the weekend - first place I went on return home to see my trombas - I met them on the path - so big now I don’t think they like being on the plot - I think I may have to let them into the house and be measured - I really don’t want to because it means they will have to be eaten.
