Where do you buy your seed from?

I'm always looking around at various websites to get my seed from but often seem to end up back at the same old places.

    Does anyone have any suggestions??

Thanks, Either I'm not searching correctly, or my search thingy is broken. I always search before i post but it doesn't seem to bring anything back.

Thanks for the replies though. I like the look of Realseeds, although a little pricey they seem to promote saving seed for future years. (having read the links provided)

Don't worry the GYO search thingy is about as much use as a chocolate fire guard

The Search thingy works as long as you look for an uncommon word, go "Advanced" and narrow it down by date or member (unless its a really unusual word like yacon or chufa).
I found the link by searching for "Realseeds".

I've used Wallis Seeds in Essex for years, they're good value and have a good range.

It all depends on how much seed you want to buy.

I like Moles Seeds they do decent quantities at reasonable price and the seeds seem to keep several years. However, if you're looking for specialist things (like a particular variety of tomato) you're going to have to go to specialist seed places (for tomatoes, I've used Tomatofest and Nicky's seeds for example).

I really like Moreveg, because they sell seeds in small quantities which you can sow in a season. I’d also recommend Simpson’s Seeds (great range of chillies and tomatoes), RealSeeds (admire their philosophy and appreciate the way they trial everything), Pennard Plants (for heirloom varieties) and Simply Seeds (standard foolproof varieties at reasonable prices).

I bought a few chilli variety seeds this year from South Devon chilli farm and theyve all been ok. Germinated quickly. The Serrano seeds I purchased took about 3-4 weeks but they're growing fine now.

Also purchased 10 lemon drop seeds from eBay and all 10 germinated which was surprising but will wait and see how they fruit.

Another eBay store which also has a website, premier seeds direct, I've just purchased some tomato, cucumber and sprout seeds so hoping they turn out ok.

As someone previous I use Moreveg. Good selection and packets hold smaller amounts but cost is lowish so very applicable to gardens. You can generally get a pack at 50p to 60p for most things. Well the "common" ones.

I can get 3 varieties of tomato seeds sow 4 and grow 2 of each and and they cover me for 2 (4 or 5 actually) years easily but I do not end up throwing away a pack holding 100 in a couple of years. Basically suits and works for me.
