raised beds or rows north-south or east west?

    the triangle method is not a spacing method. the triangle method is how you deal with shading and shadows.
    tall objects shade short object if they are between short object and a light source.
    In case of sun you put tall plants on north and west and short plants on south and east side.

      According to some American websites, the Triangle method is an alternative layout to square foot gardening and has nothing to do with height.

        I mostly have roughly east-west beds, but north-south rows - our plot is very square, so lends itself th rectangular beds...
        Mind you, They are all different sizes, which does add an element of randomness
