  • Seedling bottoms starting to thin

My brassicas are starting to thin at the bottom of the seedling, any ideas what it may be? Thanks very much

a photo would help - in the meantime try having a look at some images of "damping-off" to see if it looks anything like what you have.

OK if you think its "damping-off", I'd try lifting any seedlings that still look right and move them individually to small containers with fresh compost. This disease spreads in the growing medium, so if a few plants go down the lot in the same tray can get it. Once they grow larger they gain immunity, so if you can nurse some through for a week or so, they will then be back to normal.

If the photo keeps failing. You need to reduce the size of your image.
                Don't ask me how.
