Tomato "Losetto"

Has anyone grown "Losetto"? It's supposed to be a basket cherry with a height of 30cm according to the packet. I've never grown a basket cherry before, so have no frame of reference for how they behave, but my seedlings are at least 40cm tall at this stage and still growing upwards. The stems seem quite sturdy, not leggy.

The labels are definitely correct, and all my other tomatoes are a very similar height, there are no shorties in the bunch.

Does this sound right? Will it flop over and bush out when it's planted into the basket? Should it go into a big pot instead?

I don't know your supplier but a few of the seed suppliers say it is semi determinate, or semi bush.

Tomato Losetto is a vigorous semi-determinate f1 hybrid, that has the advantage of blight resistance. Bred for outdoor cropping, either in tubs, baskets or planted in the ground, Losetto grows approx 60cm tall, with a 50 cm spread and is best grown with a bit of support.

If you want them to bush out, I'd pinch out the top, to make them grow sideshoots. I've just done the same with my Peardrops tomato plants which wanted to grow straight up, whereas the Garden Pearl made sideshoots without any encouragement.

I’ve grown them before.

From recollection they grew about 50 cm high but we’re not very bush like. Pinching them out might help.

I didn’t think much of them, they had a mealy texture, insipid taste and were not at all blight resistant which was advertised at the time.

I grew a couple last year and they ended up in big pots in the garden.
It might just have been me (probably) but the leaves seemed very dense and it was difficult to see any toms as although the stems were very thick they were quite brittle.
Nice tasting toms but not that productive for me.
