Thanks all,
Nick , yea crossed my mind , Jayne , looked closely no sign of hoppers although i noticed the marks are actually underneath but not as pronounced.
INRIP , thanks for the links, i did ponder the sunburn thing as i have been hardening off some ( there are two more the same ive found , early bush sowings )so thats a possibility but , there were others being hardened off also, hmmmm.
