  • Is top soil enough?

Every year I fertilise my raised beds, add some more MPC and then plant my veg. I have fertilised them but am waiting for the compost I ordered to arrive. In the meantime, a lovely freecycler has given me two bags of Westland top soil. Can I just add that to my beds and plant or should I wait for the MPC?

Im guessing your soil is in good condition if you are doing that every year. I would add top soil and plant away.
If you think growth isn't all it should be you could give it a mulch or liquid feed later. I bet it wont be needed.
