Cabbage white already.

A couple of weeks ago i noticed a white butterfly landing on my perenial kale. Thought it a bit strange in early May and thought nothing of it until today I noticed a lot of tiny caterpillars eating one of the leaves. Looks identical to the cabbage white caterpiller. Is this normal so early on or is it something else ?

I don't think it is early. I've been rubbing eggs off leaves for a good few weeks.

We have them as well Marb, a bit earlier than normal but think the warm weather has helped get them going.

Never thought they would every arrive this early. Unbelievable as they always come late July/Aug.

iv'e sprayed some off my kalettes this afternoon and I caught one yesterday by hand ! i'm playing cricket tomorrow im in slips or silly mid on !LOL atb Dal.
