    my winter project

I have just acquired another plot next to the one i all ready have it has two run down greenhouses on it in need of a bit of love (and a few paines of glass) not to many brambles to clear away it looks like somebody has already had ago at clearing it and given up,there seems to be an old carpet laid over the ground and partly rotted away and the grass and weeds are now grown up through it so this should be a got project to get me through winter

Everyone told me to raise my shed up higher on breezeblocks, and they were right. The old one got rats (the gap between wooden floor and bare ground was about 6 inches, perfect for rats to nest under). The new one is a foot off the ground, and too open for rats. I did have rats and mice trying to live in the compost heap, so now I water and dig it over frequently to disturb them. they hate being disturbed (don't we all?)

God bless two sheds. Voice of reason.

I would hate being watered and dug over more.

Ho well these things are sent to try us i supose. My 2 cats are scared of mice, they go for bluebottles usually.
