Looking good Vince. I have serious melon envy (I have 2 plants, one has been chewed off at ground level, the other has about 6 leaves and no flowers yet).A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. LLAP. - Leonard Nimoy

Your melons!! They are so well trained . Mine are running riot across the polytunnle bench
Are the sunken flower pots for watering & feeding?
Need to examine the melons actually to find the fruiting stems, and take the rest out.Are y'oroight booy?

thanks for all your comments guys, you're all so kind. Me and Mrs G try to spend a whole day there most weekends to keep the plot in reasonable shape, so it means a lot when fellow growers like you say such nice things.
Got to keep on top of it now though as it's the open day in a month and our plot is right near the main shed where everyone would be congregating, so want to give a good impression of the field. Are y'oroight booy?
