  • Drippers for my tomatoes

I use grow bags and was thinking of installing some drippers for watering.
They would be fed from a water butt.
What head of water do they need ?
Normal water butts have stands 31.5CM for example.
Do you thing that's enough ?
    Should I build a stand.

I have an old dustbin that's 2 foot high.
So a 2 foot stand would mean I can still feed it from the GH gutters which are 4 foot high.
Unfortunately my old dustbin leaks. Tried to fix it with some success, but it still weeps !

    Looking for ideas..
    Thanks
    Jimmy

My water butt (a blue drum) with tap added, stands on an old wooden garden chair, the hoses and drippers work well - I bought as per Bigmallly's thread here https://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gr...ml#post1220457
Obviously the ebay postings are finished but they show what you need...

Thanks, I have all the pipe and drippers.
I will get it setup and see how it performs.
If OK I will get a timer, the low pressure one on your link is useful.

I now have the perfect stand for my water butt/dustbin.
I acquired an empty aluminum beer barrel.
Not installed it yet but filled with water it will be very stable.
Might stand a 2 foot square paving slab on it.
Just the right height to bring the top of the dustbin to just below the GH gutter.
