Veg Growing Their Own Thing!!! . i.e.: Naughty or Ugly

Evening all

Well I forgot to take a pic of the tomato with the dare I say 'willy' attached (there's always one ) and we ate it for tea, it was scrummy

However I will submit todays beefsteak tomato. These were grown from my own saved seed from last year and it's the only tomato affected out of 8 plants and the only tomato on that plant, all others are fine

Could well have been VC the flowers were HUGE on all of the plants. At which point I suddenly thought saving seed from the biggest 1 1/2 pound tomato maybe wasn't the best idea

However the fruit so far are supporting themselves on the stem

What's a megabloom, please?

A megabloom is a distorted flower, as if two or more flowers have joined together and they grow into one conjoined tomato which is a crazy shape. I think Giant Veg growers want to grow these monsters as for them, size matters.
