I notice that they're on trays which has water in it - they don't like their roots sitting in water.
If they're stressed they'll not thrive.

The pots look far too small for the plants. When I’ve grown courgettes ive only ever grown patio /tub varieties and they are easily 3ft across and just as high. I didnt bother this year as ive dont really like courgettes. When they got mildew I just cut the worst of the leaves off and left the rest, but then I dont coddle anything. Its either going to grow or it isnt.

For the future, courgettes need planting out when they are much smaller - well before they flower. If they get too big for their pots they dry out quickly and get stressed and then they are very susceptible to mildew.A life is like a garden.
