Sungold grows well outside and is always one of the first to ripen.

I have Sungold, Sweet Millions, North Pole, Ailsa Craig, Picollo, Rocalta, Alicante, and Black Mauri outdoors. All doing well and ripe tomatoes on them all,
I stake them up with a few bamboo canes and string.
I have to say, my back garden is very sheltered, surrounded by walls on all sides and almost South facing which makes a difference to outdoor growing.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

If you don't nip out the growing points your plants will continue to produce flowers and more toms which because of the lateness of the season will have no chance of ripening. You won't affect the earlier tomatoes by nipping out the growing points though. I " hurry mine on a bit" by feeding with proprietory tomato feed at half strength at every watering. Some folks hang bananas amongst their tomatoes. Apparently bananas exude ethylene gas which aids ripening.
