    Yellowy veined leaves.....

This is a Numex Sandia. I had 8 germinate, 4 looked really healthy and 4 looked like this, even as seedlings. They still grew, and a couple of the yellowy ones are producing fruit though much later and smaller than the other four.

The last few years, about 10% of my tomatillos look quite similar (see pic below), leaves yellow quickly, fruit smaller than others (but ripen quicker). is this a disease or ...?

Tomatillos I water every day, amount depending on temperature. Been growing those about 6 years, successfully apart from this 10%!

Chilis I will water as they dry out. (Checking every day, not normally watering every day).

I mix slow-release granules through my medium, top up with a sprinkle once a month or so. I feed Maxicrop seaweed once a week, with the occasional diluted generic tomato feed in between.

                  No, I don't smoke.

A bit of research into mosaic virus has just confused matters even more! It certainly looks like some of the pictures of mosaic virus but it hasn't (in the past, or this year) spread as I would expect a virus to spread, especially as my pots are so close together.

What growing “medium” are you using? It looks like some nutrient problem to me.

Same medium as always, and the same as my other 95% healthy plants, MCP ~45%, coir ~45%, the rest vermiculite & perlite with a healthy dose of slow release fertiliser granules.

Along the virus line: I have to say I'm not as thorough these days in washing my pots at the end of the season- last couple of years they've just had a good hosing out whereas I used to give them all a good scrub in soapy water then rinse. I wonder can the mosaic virus hang around? That might explain tomatillos, but not chilis that even as seedlings looked the same.
