  • bees flying today

I've got 4 hives of bees at the moment and it was good to see activity from all of them today. Particularly popular were the snowdrops and the green hellebore flowers.

I don't think so VC - my bees generally don't travel more than few miles, unless they get an accidental lift - probably someone-else's bees you saw I expect - they do all look very alike :-)

You're correct and I am wrong! I should have said these are MY bees, not yours. I know that because mine Buzz in Welsh (and there's no Z in Welsh)!!

I can hear them in the photo, and the sound contains no Z - so definitely Welsh :-)

Nooooooooooooooo!! We don't use all the difficult Scrabble letters - K, Q, X, Z. Maybe others that I've forgotten.

I still have the bee count app on my phone. Looks like a red tailed black bumblebee to me.
