Hello all.
I was reading one of the links on here about making a home for solitary bees, by drilling various sized holes in an old fence post.
Today I made this:
Where's the best place to put it please? I can't find the bit I was reading, but think it said above 1m high and something else.

Will it matter that some of the log is a bit damp in places? I think it should dry out fairly quickly once it's sited. It had been slowly rotting in my mate's garden.
Edit: That's why I couldn't find the thread - it's in the wildlife forum. Can a mod move this please?
