Hi Guys,
One of Lee's workmates uncle is looking to start Beekeeping, we were hoping to be able to show him how we do things last Monday, but with the weather being soo poor we had to cancel, so 11am today he is coming to have a look at the girls with me. He has basic tools and a hive, we have agreed to sort him a Nuc out (we now have 6 hives - 1 hive went to NT Dunham massey last week - and 6 new nucs, just waiting until the queens are mated and viable before we can start to rehome them).
So Im paying forwards the help and training we received from a friend (Dave) when we first started by passing the knowledge and experience on forwards, feel really priviledged to be able to do so too!
Has anyone else offerred training / mentoring to new beekeepers?
After that have got to be back here for 3pm, we have Daneline coming to inspect the house in regards to allowing us to adopt a rescued Great Dane, we lost our Bella (GD X Alsatian) 2 weeks ago, and although no-one could replace her (and the grieving has been hard), we both feel its time to give another rescue a loving forever home.
So, gonna be a busy day here, shame Lee (hubby) is working today tho
