I've been growing quite fond of all the wildlife I see in the garden around the clock even the snails (but not the slugs). It has been quite a few years since bees have hived in the garden though, with the last hive being in the coal bunker.
There are plenty bees visit due to there being plenty bee-attracting plants in the garden.
I don't particulalry want hives for honey, so don't need or want to buy a fancy comb hive box. I just want to attract them into an environment to nest, then if by chance they do nest there let them get on with it.
What sort of junk could I leave in a quiet corner of the garden that might be suitable for bees to nest in?
What dimensions or capacity?
Is shade or partial shade best?
